FREE Pattern --- "Newborn Pink Beanie"

Of course, this can be made in blue, or any other color!  But, in this pattern, I made it in Pink!  So perfectly classic for the newborn baby girl!

Size:
Newborn

Materials Needed:
-  1 skein Aran weight (#4) yarn  (Pink) (I used “WoolEase” for this hat.)
-  Crochet Hook,  Size G/4.00 mm
-  Yarn Needle  (Used for working in loose yarn ends.)

Gauge:  12 dc sts = 4 inches
            (I crochet pretty loosely.  If you crochet tighter, you may want to  
               adjust to smaller hooks to get your desired size.)

Hat Pattern
Newborn

Round 1:  Using the “Magic Circle”, Ch 1.  Work 12 dc in the circle.  Join with slip stitch to top of first dc.   (12 dc)
Round 2:  Ch 2.  Work 2 dc in each stitch around.  Join to first dc with slip stitch. 
(24 dc)
Round 3:  Ch 2.  *Work 1 dc in first stitch.  Work 2 dc in next stitch.*  Repeat from * to * around.  Join to first dc with slip stitch.  (36 dc)
Round 4:  Ch 2.  *Work 1 dc in next 8 stitches.  Work 2 dc in next stitch.*  Repeat from * to * around.  Join to first dc with slip stitch.   (40 dc)
Round 5 - 8:  Ch 2.  1 dc in each stitch around.   Join to first dc with slip stitch. 
Round 9:  Ch 1.  Work 1 sc in each stitch around.  Join to first sc with slip stitch.
Fasten off yarn and weave in loose ends.

So simple, yet so classic.  Perfect for coming home from the hospital or for those first outings!!!
