Skill Level: Easy
Finished Size: Approximately 4 ½ inches in diameter
1 skein “Sugar and Cream” Cotton Yarn in Pink (Color A)
1 skein “Sugar and Cream” Cotton Yarn in White (Color B)
1 skein “Sugar and Cream” Cotton Yarn in Lime Green (Color C)
Small amount of Black Cotton Yarn
Size G/4.25 mm
Yarn Needle (Used for working in loose yarn ends.)
Watermelon Coaster (Make 4)
Round 1: Using Color A. Using the “Magic Circle”, Ch 1. Work 12 hdc in the circle. Join with slip stitch to top of first hdc. (12 hdc)
Round 2: Ch 1. Work 1 hdc in same stitch as Ch 1. Work 2 hdc in each stitch around. Join to first hdc with slip stitch. (24 hdc)
Round 3: Ch 1. Work 1 hdc in same stitch as Ch 1. *Work 1 hdc in next stitch. Work 2 hdc in next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join to first hdc with slip stitch.
Round 4: Change to Color B. Ch 1. Work 1 single crochet in same stitch as Ch 1. *Work 1 sc in next 2 stitches. Work 2 sc in next stitch. * Repeat from * to * around. Join to first sc with slip stitch.
Round 5: Change to Color C. Ch 1. Sc in each stitch around.
Fasten off and weave in all loose ends.
Seeds: Using Black Yarn make 5 stitches (seeds) in second round. (See photo for placement.) Fasten off and work in loose ends.
