Fall.....absolutely Beautiful, and, absolutely BUSY!!!

Fall has arrived and here at Lakeview Cottage Kids I am so busy enjoying it! The trees are starting to turn. Color is popping out all over....trees, shrubs, gardens.  Love it!   Of course, there is lots and lots of yard work, like more mowing (I love September grass. It is so lush, thick and green!), trimming plants, emptying out pots of spent summer plants, and on and on. But, I love it. Cool nights, crisp (sometimes warm) days are so refreshing.  Fall boat rides have been spectacular. The scenery at Lake Redstone right now is so gorgeous!  We are also busy visiting local orchards and attending fall festivals in the area. One of my favorite orchards is Oakwood Fruit Farm near Richland Center, Wisconsin.  (We have already been there twice this year!)  They have so many varieties of apples and wonderful pies, apple cider, apple cider doughnuts, jams, jellies, pumpkins, squashes, and a variety of fall mums!

Check out their website HERE !

This weekend we will be visiting two fall festivals!

First,  The Gays Mills Apple Festival!  It runs from September 26 - 28, 2014!  There are all kinds of activities and visiting the many apple orchards is a must!

Check this festival out HERE !

Second, we will be going to the Warrens Cranberry Fest!  It is also held from September 26 - 28, 2014 in the town of Warrens!  It is just spectacular!!!  Crafts, art, farm products, and so much more!  This festival boasts over 1300 booths and 120,000 visitors each year!  It is amazing!  We will be there Saturday to take in as much as possible of this wonderful fest!

I will be taking lots of pictures this weekend and will post them here on Lakeview Cottage Kids!

Also, be watching for more blogs in the next few days about the Reedsburg Fermentation Fest and all of the activities going along with that!  Such fun!

Of course, I am also getting ready for 3 craft fairs....first one coming up next week!  Watch for info and pictures!!!

  1. Every time in the fall season I just feel so out of place; never been to stereotypical stuff but seeing your enthusiasm I think I might try something new this season.
